Job summary

SystImmune, a biotech company in Bothell, WA, seeks a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate for the Protein Engineering team to advance novel therapeutic antibodies. The role centers on hands-on molecular biology and collaboration to enable protein expression and construct optimization.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in molecular biology/biochemistry with 2+ years (RA II) or 3–5 years (Sr. RA) of industry experience, and are comfortable in a dynamic, onsite environment on a Thu-Mon

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s with 5+ years or master’s with 3+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex molecular biology techniques including PCR, restriction digestion, Gibson Assembly, cloning, Golden Gate Assembly, transformations, and plasmid purification.
Maintain detailed records of procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
Collaborate with team to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression.
Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency.
Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.
