SystImmune, a biotech company in Bothell, WA, seeks a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate for the Protein Engineering team to advance novel therapeutic antibodies. Ideal candidates hold a degree in molecular biology/biochemistry with 2+ years (RA II) or 3–5 years (Sr. RA) of industry experience, and are comfortable in a dynamic, onsite environment on a Thu-Mon

• Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
• Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s with 5+ years or master’s with 3+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex molecular biology techniques including PCR, restriction digestion, Gibson Assembly, cloning, Golden Gate Assembly, transformations, and plasmid purification.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
• Collaborate with team to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression.
• Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.

We are seeking a Research Associate II orSenior Research Associateto join ourProtein Engineeringteam. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong molecular biology skills and a passion for scientific innovation. This is a full-time onsite position in Bothell, WA and follows a Thursday through Mondaywork schedule, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex molecular biology techniques including PCR, Restriction Endonuclease Digestion, Gibson Assembly, Ligation cloning, Golden Gate Assembly, bacterial transformations, and plasmid purification.
• Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
• Collaborate with team members to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression.
• Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with cell line engineering plasmids is a plus.
• Experience using sequencing analysis software (eg. Geneious, Benchling) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Work Schedule

• This position follows aThursday through Mondayschedule, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Tuesday and Wednesday are regular days off.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s level qualifications, experience, and skills.

While most offers typically fall within thelow to mid-pointof the range, we may extend an offer toward the higher end for exceptional candidates whose background and expertise exceeds the requirements of the role.
