Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Scientist, Protein Engineering to lead hands-on experimental programs and leverage computational tools to accelerate design cycles.

You will lead antibody and protein engineering efforts, drive expression, purification, and characterization, and design binding and functional assays.

Collaborations with structural biologists and computer scientists, plus managing CRO partnerships, will be key to delivering innovative biologics.

Qualifications

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, or related discipline plus 2+ years of industry experience
• Hands-on expertise in protein expression, purification, and characterization
• Experience with antibody engineering formats including bispecifics, nanobodies, or related modalities
• Peer-reviewed publications and/or patents in antibody or protein engineering
• Familiarity with computational design tools (AlphaFold, Rosetta, ProteinMPNN) a plus
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, multi-faceted projects
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead experimental design and execution of antibody and protein engineering programs including affinity maturation, multi-specific antibody development, and de novo binder design
• Drive protein expression, purification, and characterization workflows across multiple formats
• Design and execute binding and functional assays to evaluate and iterate on engineered proteins
• Collaborate with structural biologists and computational scientists to integrate structural insights into experimental programs
• Apply computational tools such as AlphaFold and Rosetta to support and inform wet lab strategies
• Manage CRO partnerships including experimental design, vendor communication, and internal reporting
