Job summary

Pennsylvania Department of Aging's Protective Services Intensive Technical Assistance (PSITA) initiative seeks a Program Specialist 4 to support complex protective services cases across the Commonwealth. This contract position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours, starting August 31, 2026.

The role emphasizes casework support, interagency coordination, policy alignment, reporting, and ensuring compliance with OAPSA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year direct aging or adult protective services casework experience.
• Three years of professional experience in a human services program with a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent.
• Criminal history check from State Police/FBI with no disqualifying information.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive technical assistance to AAA protective services supervisors on high-risk cases.
• Assist with development of reporting requirements and program manuals.
• Ensure case records comply with OAPSA and timeframes.
• Coordinate interagency collaboration and liaison with stakeholders.
• Support policy alignment and preparation for fair hearings.
• Participate in PSITA team meetings and PDA trainings.
