Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Senior Relay Technician to safeguard critical electrical infrastructure. You will lead testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of protective relays and switchgear while keeping safety standards and NFPA guidelines at the core of daily operations.

You’ll mentor maintenance staff, support OT/SCADA integration, and drive reliability improvements across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in industrial electrical maintenance with at least 3 years around protective relays.
• Experience testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning relays, switchgear and medium‑voltage equipment.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and relay logic diagrams; strong safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for protective relays and related protection schemes for critical facility infra.
• Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and commission relays and switchgear controls.
• Support safe operation of MV and LV distribution; respond to faults and incidents.
• Analyze relay logs, SCADA data, and alarms to identify root causes and improve reliability.
• Develop and maintain PM procedures, testing programs, and documentation per NFPA 70B.
