Job summary

The Haskell Company seeks a Senior Protection Engineer to develop and validate protective relaying systems for substations, transmission lines, feeders, and generation interconnects. You will lead protection studies, coordinate with field personnel and clients, and drive from logic diagrams to final settings and commissioning.

Mentor junior engineers, oversee QA/QC, and collaborate with SCADA and substation design teams to ensure alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of hands-on protection and relay settings experience in T&D environments.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review protection and coordination studies for utility systems from 5kV to 500kV.
• Lead engineering efforts across all project phases for multiple clients.
• Oversee QA/QC processes for relay settings, studies, and P&C design packages.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment.
• Support commissioning including event analysis and field troubleshooting.
