Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a Senior Protection Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will lead the development, validation, and commissioning of protective relaying systems for substations, transmission lines, and generation interconnects, coordinating with field personnel and clients.

Responsibilities include performing protection studies, setting calculations, and producing clear technical documentation, with emphasis on QA/QC and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in system protection and relay settings in T&D environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop protection and coordination studies for 5kV to 500kV utility systems.
  • Calculate and implement relay settings using vendor tools.
  • Analyze short circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies with ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or SKM.
  • Generate native configuration files for protective relays.
  • Create and review protection and control drawings and wiring diagrams.
