Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer to ensure protection and control systems are designed and operated for safe, reliable transmission and distribution. You will mentor engineers and lead project teams, contributing to system reliability projects and restoration efforts.

The role requires strong expertise in protective relaying, coordination studies, and IEC61850 protocols, with collaboration across Planning, Operations, and Field personnel. Hybrid work arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, preferably power systems.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in protective relaying and power systems.
• Experience with ASPEN Oneliner or equivalent for studies.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate proposed changes to protect system facilities to ensure compatibility with Eversource standards.
• Create new protection and control designs per Eversource standards as required.
• Develop settings and logic for protective relays, logic processors, feeder reclosers, and switches.
• Perform coordination studies using fault simulation software.
• Lead project teams and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Support storm and emergency restoration assignments.
