American Electric Power is seeking a P&C Technician II to assist in testing, installation, and maintenance of protection and control devices across station SCADA and communications. You will support switching under supervision and maintain test equipment, ensuring records are accurate and compliant with safety standards.

The role requires an associate degree in relevant technology fields and a valid driver's license, with potential travel and overtime as needed.

Formación

Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology or related field.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Minimum 24 months satisfactory work experience as P&C Technician II or the equivalent.

Responsabilidades

Assist in acceptance and installation tests on protection, control, and measurement devices.
Assist in installation and operation of station SCADA and communications equipment.
Perform switching under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
Maintain test equipment and prepare accurate records and drawings.
Adhere to safety rules, NERC and environmental regulations.
