Job summary

Shermco seeks a Protection and Control Engineer to lead complex electrical projects and mentor junior engineers for industrial clients. The role emphasizes delivering reliable power distribution solutions with accuracy and quality.

You will conduct power system studies, configure protective relays, and coordinate devices while interfacing with customers and supporting bids for new work. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
• 5+ years of power systems experience, protection or design.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA70E and local codes.
• Experience with short-circuit, arc-flash, and device coordination.
• Proficiency in SKM/ETAP/ASPEN/EasyPower software.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Mentor junior engineers and support customers.
• Ensure analyses and studies meet IEEE/NFPA standards.
• Review work for deadlines, accuracy, and quality.
• Perform onsite customer engagements to gather information.
• Assist with estimating and bidding for new projects.
