Job summary

ECLARO seeks a Protection and Control Engineer in White Plains, NY to work on system disturbance analysis, relay settings, and protection schemes for the client's electric utility assets. You will ensure reliability and compliance in a demanding energy environment.

The role requires experience with protective relaying, relay settings calculations, and MS Office, with site support during commissioning and disturbance investigation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in the design of Protection and Control Systems for electric utilities.
• Knowledge of protective relaying components.
• Experience with relay-setting calculations.
• Familiarity with programming microprocessor-based relays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform system disturbance analysis and recommend protective relaying system modification and/or additions, if required.
• Perform engineering design for protection and control and associated communication systems.
• Perform short circuit studies and other calculations as required to establish relay settings.
• Perform NERC / NPCC compliance related tasks.
• Provide site support during project commissioning or disturbance investigation.
