Job summary

PBS Foundation is seeking a Sr. Manager, Research Analyst to support prospect identification, research, and data quality across donor information systems.

You will collaborate with the Senior Director to plan strategies for major gifts and ensure timely assignment to fundraisers. The role involves composing prospect research documents, inputting data into CRM, and supporting moves management to drive cultivation and solicitation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• At least five years of experience in Development in a non-profit and/or educational institution.
• At least five years of experience in prospect development or related functions that support major gift fundraising.
• Understanding fundraising practices with an emphasis on the donor relationship cycle and fundamentals of prospect development.
• Ability to identify and prioritize prospects for major/principal/institutional giving and planned giving.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data as well as try new approaches and explore new sources.
• Ability to proactively organize and prioritize work, resolve problems, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals and deadlines are met.
• Consistently demonstrate respect for inclusion, diversity, and ethics.
• Knowledge of ethics statements by Apra, AFP, and other related associations.
• Meticulous attention to detail, particularly with names, financial data, and biographical details. Ability to double-check one's own work for accuracy and quality.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to use discretion while dealing with sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency using research databases such as Lexis-Nexis for Development Professionals, DonorSearch, WealthEngine, iWave, RelSci, WealthX, Foundation Center, etc.
• Experience and comfort working with donor CRMs (Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
• Preferred skills: proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prospect Identification: Work closely with the Senior Director to proactively plan and execute strategies to identify sources of major, principal, institutional, and planned gifts.
• Prospect Identification: Help develop and execute strategies to ensure that newly identified prospects are presented and assigned to appropriate fundraisers in a timely manner.
