Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Propulsion Engineer to own the mechanical design of propulsion modules for scalable satellite buses. You’ll work with in-house thruster, cathode, and PPU teams to optimize component interfaces and module packaging.

You will partner with manufacturing to support first builds, drive design-for-manufacturing, and contribute to anomaly resolution and root-cause investigations as we scale production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related field.
• 6+ years of mechanical/aerospace engineering experience with strong structural design and hardware installation experience.
• Experience designing hardware to survive launch and space environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of propulsion modules and interfaces.
• Design module structures to meet vehicle requirements including launch loads and thermal environments.
• Collaborate with in-house thruster and PPU teams to optimize component and module design.
• Support build, integration, and test of flight hardware and resolve issues on the floor.
• Mentor other engineers and drive design-for-manufacturing for scalable production.
