Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Wichita, KS, USA is seeking a Professional Senior in Engineering for Propulsion Systems. You will join the Propulsion Systems Engineering group to tackle complex systems across fuel, powerplant, FTIS and related domains.

You’ll define architectures, develop specifications, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver robust propulsion solutions. Travel for short-term assignments is expected; a strong background in DO-160 and ARP 4754A is preferred.

Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• You have 8 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Knowledge in propulsion and interfacing technical disciplines.
• Familiar with DO-160 component qualification.
• Familiar with ARP 4754A Design Process Assurance.
• Know system design tools and simulation software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define propulsion system architecture and prepare specifications.
• Manage interfaces and integrate systems with stakeholders.
• Conduct trade studies and validate requirements.
• Author and review engineering design documents and tests.
• Manage suppliers from an engineering perspective.
• Support build and operation of test platforms.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure adherence to program schedules and milestones.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
