Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks a Propulsion Systems Chief Engineer to lead propulsion system programs across development, production, and sustainment.

You will serve as the technical authority, shaping technology roadmaps and ensuring product integrity throughout lifecycle. You will mentor engineers, balance risk with cost and schedule, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical solutions for aerospace and defense customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in aerospace/defense propulsion or electromechanical systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in product development, system design, qualification, verification, and lifecycle support.
• Proven ability to act as technical authority and influence engineering decisions.
• Experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps, and long-term plans.
• Strong systems engineering, requirements, risk, and design assurance knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex challenges.
• Ability to balance technical risk with schedule, cost, and customer requirements in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for propulsion system products and programs across development, production, and sustainment activities.
• Own product integrity throughout the lifecycle from research and development to production and aftermarket support.
• Lead technical execution of large, complex engineering programs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Partner with business and engineering leadership to develop technology roadmaps and long-term product strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Moog processes, industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Own and approve technical content, design decisions, qualification activities, and engineering deliverables.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Balance technical risk, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and customer requirements to achieve successful outcomes.
