Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Propulsion Technician in Colorado to serve as a senior technical leader within Build Operations. You will own complex integration activities, lead troubleshooting, and provide system-level expertise across propulsion programs.

You will mentor technicians, support non-standard builds, and drive improvements in propulsion build processes while coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of propulsion, aerospace, or complex high-consequence hardware experience.
• Mastery of propulsion system architecture and fluid systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot integrated system-level failures.
• Experience supporting development campaigns and complex test operations.
• Strong cross-functional communication and influence capability.
• Mentorship and technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex propulsion system builds and engine-level integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve multi-disciplinary system failures.
• Serve as cross-program SME on propulsion systems and high-risk processes.
• Lead technical root cause investigations in partnership with ME and Engineering.
• Provide advanced mentorship and skill development for technicians.
• Support non-standard builds and rapid development efforts.
• Identify systemic process weaknesses and drive corrective improvements.
• Validate technical readiness for major integration or test milestones.
