Job summary

RENK America is seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer to optimize subsystems for diesel engines and drivelines used in military ground vehicles. You will perform thermodynamic, structural and mobility analyses, and develop test plans while supporting customers.

The role requires a BS (6+ years) or MS (4+ years) in mechanical engineering, proficiency with ANSYS, GT Suite, MatLab, and Simulink, and the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in physics-based modeling and subsystems analysis for diesel engines and drivetrains.
• Ability to obtain DOD security clearance and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Model engine, transmission, and driveline performance for military vehicles.
• Perform thermodynamic, structural, and mobility analysis on critical components.
• Develop test plans and perform failure analysis and customer support.
• Lead or participate in engine and transmission proposals and testing.
