Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks a Senior Staff Engineer for Propulsion Assets at Arnold AFB, TN, to oversee and sustain propulsion test assets and related capital projects. The role requires deep electrical engineering expertise, extensive experience in aerospace environments, and ability to advise on complex technical and programmatic issues.

Open to external candidates; salary is provided as hourly pay with part-time/on-call expectations.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

Provide expert level technical support for current and investment related projects for the Propulsion mission area (e.g., A-Exhaust modes, T11 Independent Air Planning, Outage Backfeeds, VFSS controls installation and checkout).
Share technical expertise, knowledge, and lessons learned with less experienced engineers related to plant or test assets’ maintenance, operation, and sustainment.
Provide technical consultations as requested from management or Engineering Advisory Board
Advise senior management on technical and programmatic issues as requested.
Wear PPE as required by supervision and company policy.
Perform other duties as required.
