Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is growing and seeking a seasoned Proposals Manager to lead development of proposals, statements of qualifications, and roster submittals that win work in land development, energy, and infrastructure markets.

You will own the full proposal lifecycle—from go/no-go decisions to content creation, editing, layout, and final production—collaborating with project managers, technical staff, and marketers to meet deadlines and highlight AKS differentiators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proposal experience in A/E/C industry.
• Strong writer and editor who translates technical content into persuasive messaging.
• Self-driven, highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Collaborates with technical and marketing professionals.
• Proficient with InDesign and Microsoft Office; comfortable with CRM systems.
• Do what needs to be done mindset and ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of proposals, statements of qualifications, and roster submittals that win work.
• Manage the full proposal lifecycle—from go/no-go decisions to content creation, editing, layout, and final production.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical staff, and other marketers to gather information and meet deadlines.
• Track and interpret RFPs/RFQs to ensure compliance and highlight differentiators.
• Support and guide interview strategy and preparation, including development of presentation materials.
• Maintain and update marketing content in the CRM (Unanet-Cosential), including resumes, project descriptions, awards, and photography.
