Job summary

Hidden Level in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Proposal Coordinator-Writer to manage proposal development and craft content for defense, federal, international, and commercial markets. Hybrid, Syracuse-based; East Coast if fully remote.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop proposal plans, translate complex tech into compelling proposals, and maintain a robust proposal library while guiding reviews and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of overall writing experience.
• 5+ years of proposal and/or project coordination/management experience.
• 3+ years working with Gen AL writing tools.
• Strong analytical skills and collaboration ability.
• Experience developing proposal graphics, writing content, and editing large technical documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, grammar and formatting.
• Proactive customer service with multi-project management.
• Ability to obtain security clearance if required.
• Knowledge of Shipley Associates’ capture-proposal process (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Project/Proposal Coordination: manage proposals from planning to submission and coordinate cross-functional meetings.
• Content Creation: write persuasive, compliant proposal content and maintain library of content.
• AI Tool Implementation for Workflow Improvement: use AI tools to support proposal development and QA.
• Requirements & Evaluation: analyze solicitations and guide contributors to address criteria.
• Quality Assurance: edit, format, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, technical/scientific writing or equivalent experience related to this position.
