Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Actuary - Prophet Modeler to join our Enterprise Modeling Team in a role focused on Prophet model development for life products and business cases. You will collaborate with Pricing, Valuation, ALM, Hedging and IT to deliver innovative modeling capabilities.

The position requires this candidate to lead development initiatives, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with Model Risk Management standards in a dynamic, office-based setting with relocation support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics or related field.
• 4+ years’ actuarial experience
• 6+ years’ experience in actuarial modeling and coding
• FSA Designation
• Excited to work with Prophet in pricing, valuation and ALM modeling
• Self-starter capable of independent and collaborative work
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Work on model development for new and existing life products.
• Develop, test, and debug Prophet models; peer review changes.
• Evaluate modeling strategies to address business needs.
• Lead model development initiatives to improve existing models.
• Collaborate with IT and business partners to simplify processes.
• Provide guidance to junior staff on methodology and testing.
• Support Model Risk Management initiatives and documentation.
