Job summary

Americo is seeking an experienced Actuarial Modeler to lead modeling functions across our life and annuity portfolio in downtown Kansas City, MO. The role is hands-on in financial reporting, model governance, and team leadership.

ASA or FSA required with 5+ years of actuarial experience; experience with Prophet 360 or MG-ALFA; strong Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or Python are preferred. This is an in-office position.

Qualifications

• ASA or FSA required.
• 5+ years actuarial experience with leadership in valuation or financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Prophet 360 or MG-ALFA.
• Proficiency in Excel; SQL or Python familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead model development efforts to support actuarial projections for life and annuity products.
• Maintain, validate, and enhance Prophet 360 models used for projections.
• Ensure integrity of reserves, projections, and model results through validation and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT to support audit readiness and model governance.
• Provide leadership in assumption setting, experience studies, and methodology documentation.
• Mentor actuarial associates or interns responsible for valuation and reporting.
