Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Actuary to join the Enterprise Modeling Team. The role focuses on Prophet Model Merger, governance, and integration with actuarial and IT collaborations. Candidates with FSA and 6+ years in actuarial roles are encouraged to apply.

The position is on-site four days a week with one day remote, located in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC, with relocation assistance if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field.
• FSA designation or progress toward fellowship is required/strongly preferred.
• Experience with Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise is required.
• Proven programming skills in Python, Visual Basic, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Execute production aspects of the model development life cycle, including testing of valuation and production model implementations.
• Support UAT, model validation, code changes and merges into the Master model.
• Assist in defect resolution and model documentation across changes and approvals.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve model workflows.
• Provide oversight of model staging/integration across use cases in PE.
• Collaborate with IT and business partners to simplify modeling processes.
• Troubleshoot and support Enterprise Prophet users.
