Job summary

Authentic is seeking a Property Underwriter to evaluate and manage commercial property risks, build broker relationships, and support profitable growth. You will review submissions, analyze COPE factors, and shape pricing and coverage strategies while collaborating with sales and carrier partners to deliver timely underwriting solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial property underwriting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial property underwriting principles and risk evaluation.
• Experience working with retail brokers, MGAs, wholesalers, or carriers.
• Ability to independently manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate new and renewal commercial property submissions.
• Analyze risk characteristics, loss history, financial information, and underwriting data.
• Assess pricing adequacy, coverage structures, and eligibility guidelines.
• Develop underwriting recommendations and make risk selection decisions within authority levels.
• Communicate with brokers, carrier partners, and internal teams regarding submissions and requirements.
• Manage accounts through underwriting lifecycle including quoting, binding, endorsements, and renewals.
• Build broker relationships through responsiveness and service.
• Monitor account profitability and identify exposure trends.
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and file management.
• Partner with sales leadership to support business development and retention.
