Job summary

CLA is seeking a Property Tax Senior to join our State & Local Tax practice. The role focuses on reviewing fixed asset documents, resolving data issues, and preparing property tax renditions using Avalara.

You will work with clients from manufacturing, distribution, retail and healthcare sectors, handling research and notices while mentoring junior team members. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years of relevant experience, with CPA eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review fixed asset detail documents submitted by clients required for property tax renditions.
• Work with client and property tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review property tax renditions.
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve property tax notices received from Assessors.
• Identify discrepancies where filing an appeal may be required.
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
