Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Property Tax Senior to join our State & Local Tax practice in California. You will review fixed asset documents, collaborate with clients and the tax team, and use Avalara software to prepare renditions.

You will work with clients across industries such as Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Healthcare, performing tax research and mentoring junior staff. CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience required
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred
• CPA eligible preferred

Responsibilities

• Review fixed asset detail documents submitted by clients for property tax renditions
• Work with client and property tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training on Avalara software
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review property tax renditions
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve property tax notices received from Assessors
• Identify discrepancies where filing an appeal may be required
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
