Job summary

Underwriter Services Association is hiring a Property Loss Prevention Highly Protected Risk Engineer to conduct worldwide surveys. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of NFPA codes and experience in commercial property risk engineering. You'll evaluate HPR conditions, assess fire protection systems, document findings, and prepare detailed reports for clients.

This is a home-based contractor position, offering flexibility in scheduling with travel to client sites as needed. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial property risk engineering or loss control.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive on-site evaluations of HPR and high-hazard occupancies.
• Prepare engineering reports that align with carrier specifications.
• Coordinate and schedule site visits with property owners.
