Job summary

Risk Logic is seeking experienced Property Loss Prevention HPR Engineers to perform comprehensive on-site and remote assessments globally. You will review COPE, NatCat, and Human Element programs, compiling detailed reports per carrier guidelines. This role requires independent work, timely communication with clients and Risk Logic, and adherence to schedules.

Travel within territory is expected. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s in engineering (Fire Protection, Chemical, Mechanical, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial property risk engineering or loss control.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA codes and FM Data Sheets.
• Experience with HPR standards and high-hazard manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Ability to produce clear, well-structured engineering reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site evaluations of HPR and high-hazard occupancies.
• Assess fire protection systems, building construction, occupancy hazards and NatCat exposures.
• Calculate NLEs, PMLs, MFLs per carrier guidelines.
• Evaluate automatic fire protection systems and water supplies for manufacturing and storage occupancies.
• Document site conditions with photographs and detailed notes.
• Interview facility personnel to gather information regarding operations and safety procedures.
• Prepare engineering reports aligned with carrier specifications and deadlines.
• Apply NFPA codes and FM Data Sheets in recommendations.
• Present findings clearly prioritizing risks and controls.
• Coordinate site visits with property owners and insurers.
