Job summary

People Incorporated is seeking a Senior Property Manager to oversee a new affordable housing property in Richmond and support a growing management team. The role focuses on occupancy growth, resident satisfaction, and strong financial stewardship.

The ideal candidate has multifamily management experience, supervisory skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing principles. Travel to assigned properties is required, with a mission-driven focus on safer, affordable homes for communities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of multifamily property management experience, preferably over multiple sites.
• Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
• Knowledge of affordable housing programs, compliance requirements, and Fair Housing principles is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel regularly to assigned properties.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a new affordable housing property in Richmond.
• Lead and support Property Managers across multiple locations.
• Drive occupancy, resident retention, and property performance.
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations and property requirements.
• Monitor expenses, financial performance, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure attractive, well-maintained communities.
• Conduct property inspections and work with residents to build community satisfaction.
