Job summary

Starr Insurance seeks a Senior General Adjuster to manage Property loss claims, focusing on policy coverage and Business Interruption.

The role involves directing independent adjusters, coordinating with underwriters on coverage, and traveling to loss sites (roughly 10%). Excellent written communication is essential to document coverage decisions. A minimum of five years in Property claims is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds and other insurers.
• Policy interpretation and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction to the adjuster on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.
