Invitation Homes is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Property Accounting team in Dallas, TX. You will ensure ledger integrity, review large data loads, and collaborate across departments to support timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting with 3–5 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Yardi experience is a plus, and commitment to accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and financial statement preparation is required.
• Property Accounting experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and high accuracy/time management.
• Intermediate Excel functionality is required.
• Experience with high volumes of data is required.
• Yardi experience is a plus.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to improve team effectiveness.
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work completed by property accountants for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures month-end close deadlines are met and reviews reconciliations.
• Collaborates with Accounting Managers to optimize workload and cross-training.
• Reviews Balance Sheet and Income Statement for accuracy.
• Interacts with field teams and external partners to review financials and provide analysis.
• Prepares and reviews recurring and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Supports external and internal audit requests (SOX, Compliance, Internal Controls).
• Participates in training and identifies opportunities to increase knowledge.
