Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for onsite work in Chicago. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification or CPA track preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience or strong background in real estate, property accounting, or investment environments.
• Experience in healthcare real estate, REITs, or commercial real estate strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting systems preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work both independently and cross functionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple entities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year end close, including financial statements and reporting packages.
• Assist with audit prep, gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Partner with internal teams on financial analysis, reporting and special projects.
• Worked with external tax advisors to provide supporting schedules and data for filings.
• Review and analyze balance sheet accounts to resolve discrepancies.
• Support year end reporting requirements, including data compilation for regulatory and internal needs.
• Manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
