Job summary

Haydon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects, coordinating owners, architects, and field teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires leadership, risk management, and strong communication. Bachelor’s in Civil/Construction and 5–15 years of heavy civil experience are preferred. Travel may be required. Haydon offers a collaborative environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
• Significant project management experience in heavy civil or building projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and budget/contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate projects by planning workflow and personnel assignments.
• Set objectives, policies, and performance standards per Haydon policies.
• Ensure field activities follow Haydon procedures and manage subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor management and coordination with Estimating for contracts.
• Lead proposal activities, including client interfacing and bid decisions.
• Develop tools and processes supporting business development and forecasting.
• Coordinate budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Approve and manage contract changes and owner payments.
• Lead the leadership team and mentor staff.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of owner progress payments.
• Optimize site office and signage placement for public visibility.
