Job summary

McLain Site Solutions in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee field operations on heavy civil construction projects. You will manage daily site activities, supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and materials, and ensure work is safe, on schedule, and within budget.

The role serves as the primary field liaison with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and clients, while leading and mentoring field personnel and maintaining productive,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Superintendent or senior field leadership experience.
• Experience with site development, underground utilities, earthwork, grading, concrete, storm drainage, and infrastructure.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, utility profiles, grading plans, and contracts.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all daily field operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, equipment, deliveries, and material staging.
• Develop and maintain daily work plans to achieve production goals.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, productivity, and safety.
• Maintain and update project schedules, adjusting manpower and resources as needed.
• Coordinate survey crews, utility crews, grading crews, concrete crews, and subcontractors.
