Job summary

Willmeng Construction, a leading Phoenix-based general contractor, seeks a Heavy Civil Superintendent to drive field operations from preconstruction through delivery. You will lead foremen and crews, ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and champion continuous improvement.

In this senior role, you will read blueprints, oversee multi-project sites, and partner with project managers to coordinate resources.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior supervisory experience in heavy civil and highway construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, safety and quality standards.
• Experience estimating materials, labor, and costs for complex civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates crews, equipment, and resources across multiple projects for maximum efficiency.
• Oversees daily field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Champions a strong safety culture, partnering with field teams to minimize risk and uphold Willmeng standards.
• Reviews work quality and progress, eliminating rework and ensuring client expectations are met.
• Communicates proactively with project managers on schedules, material needs, and scope changes.
• Conducts pre-job inspections and ensures all required reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients, employees, and the community, representing Willmeng’s values.
• Resolves jobsite challenges and personnel issues promptly, fostering collaboration and solutions-driven environment.
• Drives continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
