Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent II to lead field operations for assigned construction projects in Central Florida.

You will supervise assistants, foremen, field engineers, subcontractors, and other field personnel to ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery. You will coordinate daily field activities, manage field documentation, support scheduling and production planning, and maintain strong client and team communications.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid and CPR.
• Six years of construction-related experience.
• Experience supervising field personnel and coordinating subcontractors.
• Ability to travel occasionally throughout operating territories.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily field operations for assigned projects or portions of larger projects.
• Supervise foremen, field engineers, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and an organized work environment.
• Conduct pre-task meetings and coordinate project planning activities.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, site setup, and site utilization.
• Manage field document control, daily reports, progress photos, project logs, and other required documentation.
• Manage field purchase processes and related documentation.
• Develop and mentor foremen, assistants, and other field personnel.
• Assist with staffing and workforce planning.
