Job summary

HV Talent Group is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to lead construction projects across the Chicagoland area. This hands-on role demands strong field leadership, safety focus, and the ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will lead daily jobsite operations, coordinate crews, inspect quality, manage safety, and maintain strong communication with owners, architects, and trades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive field leadership as superintendent or equivalent.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Ground-up multifamily or senior living experience preferred.
• Procore experience for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and safety.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• OSHA or construction safety certifications preferred.
• Willingness to work across Chicagoland; no out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers, ownership, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
• Assist with cost awareness and budget-related field decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and support field staff; promote a positive culture.
• Provide clear updates to project stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Use Procore to manage project documentation, daily reporting, photos, schedules, RFIs, and field communication.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, ownership, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
• Assist with cost awareness, change management, and budget-related field decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and support field staff while promoting a positive, accountable, and solutions-oriented jobsite culture.
• Provide clear and consistent updates to project stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of progressive field leadership experience as a construction superintendent or in a comparable role.
• Strong experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Ground-up multifamily residential or senior living construction experience is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, quality control, and jobsite safety.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and field coordination.
• Experience using Procore for construction management, project documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to identify problems, make informed field decisions, and keep projects moving forward.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment.
• OSHA or other relevant construction safety certifications are preferred.
