DMD & Company – Structural Engineers in the Greater Tampa Bay Area is seeking a Senior Project Structural Engineer / Project Manager to lead structural design, perform detailed calculations, and supervise construction documents.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, manage schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, and ensure designs meet Florida codes and standards. This on-site role offers opportunities for advancement and exposure to large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering; PE licensure preferred.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Project Structural Engineer / Project Manager role is based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. The individual in this position will lead structural design efforts, perform detailed structural analysis and calculations, and oversee the preparation and review of construction documents. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with internal team members and external stakeholders, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring that designs meet applicable codes and standards. The role also involves mentoring junior staff, conducting design reviews, addressing construction-phase questions, and supporting quality assurance and quality control processes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Structural Engineering, with experience applying building codes and design standards.
• Candidates should possess advanced skills in Structural Analysis and performing detailed Calculations for a variety of structural systems and materials.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD/Revit) tools and related structural design software to produce and review plans and details.
• Candidates should possess project management abilities, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams, schedule and budget management, and client communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering, and professional licensure (PE) or progress toward licensure is strongly preferred.
• Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment.
• Experience with commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or residential projects, and familiarity with Florida-specific codes and conditions, is beneficial.
