Job summary

K&A Engineering in Melville, NY is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Specialist to join our team. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (Melville, NY) with in-person collaboration on Tue-Thu and remote flexibility for other days, and a salary range of $85,000–$95,000 per year.

You will oversee material reconciliation, support the FEMA team, manage schedules, and export data to Excel, leveraging MS Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred (Business Administration or related field).
• 6 years of experience performing this specific job function with some managerial oversight/direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrable quantitative and analytical skills.
• Utility background is preferred.
• Microsoft Project experience is a plus; prior work on a federally funded project is a plus.
• Demonstrate initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience utilizing basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
• Microsoft Project experience is a plus, as is prior work on a federally funded project
• Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Must be in Long Island or Queens County
• Hybrid Position in Melville, NY (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Pay Range $85,000-$95,000/year
