Job summary

GFT is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to provide scheduling services for transit projects in the Washington, DC area or Alexandria, VA. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week at client sites in the Greater Washington area.

You will review contractor schedules, monitor costs and earned value, manage change orders, and produce monthly progress reports. Strong Primavera P6 and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is required.
• 7+ years of experience developing critical path schedules for major capital transit projects.
• 5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling on large to medium projects.
• 3+ years of construction scheduling with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, update, and monitor project schedules and the master program schedule.
• Monitor labor/resource demands, report variances and risks.
• Evaluate cost status data and productivity reports.
• Prepare monthly program and project progress summaries.
• Establish scheduling and cost control standards and ensure adherence.
• Interface with project management, client, and consultants on control activities.
• Attend baseline schedule reviews and regular schedule update meetings.
