Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS USA LLC. in New York is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler/Planner to develop, maintain and manage complex schedules for infrastructure and transit projects.

You will apply Primavera P6, MS Project and advanced Excel to ensure schedule integrity and provide detailed reporting. The role requires coordinating with local teams, contractors, and stakeholders, producing EAC and labor forecasts, and supporting bids with schedule narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of scheduling experience in complex technology projects.
• 3+ years supporting New York projects.
• Expert level skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Advanced/Expert skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of CPM, project controls, and construction sequencing.
• Self-starting; proactive, able to work independently with little oversight.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and monitor project schedules in P6 per customer standards and templates.
• Coordinate with local project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedule compliance and reporting.
• Provide reports/metrics including Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variance, KPI's and labor forecasts.
• Conduct scheduling risk analysis and identify trends, risks, and issues with mitigation strategies.
• Support bids requiring a full schedule: read tender docs, assess requirements, create Schedule Narrative when needed.
• Lead the creation of project schedules for bids and ensure baseline and change management alignment.
• Monitor progress against the baseline and manage changes to protect contractual deliverables with EV metrics.
• Produce clear S-Curve outputs and meaningful commentary for management and customers.
