Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Scheduler II to independently support multiple projects or a single complex project in Illinois. The role emphasizes self-sufficiency in CPM scheduling, coordination with Owners, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for growth through Gilbane University.

You will work with a team to drive on-time project delivery, apply Lean techniques, and participate in pursuit activities as needed. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 4–12 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Self-sufficient in scheduling and document-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitors multiple projects' compliance with contract specifications and Playbook.
• Prepares CPM schedules and integrates final approach into schedules.
• Evaluates schedules from others and provides status and completeness guidance.
• Communicates with Owner to ensure satisfaction and takes corrective action when needed.
• Performs schedule and delay analyses and presents recovery options to management.
• Leads jobsite walks and mentors junior scheduling staff.
