Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Project Scheduler to coordinate activities with PMs on major capital projects. You will develop and maintain complex Primavera P6 schedules, track progress, analyze data, and report to senior management. Collaboration with site teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders is essential.

The role requires 2+ years of Primavera P6 experience, utilities or construction scheduling background, and related degrees; professional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
• Scheduling experience in utilities or construction management.
• Degrees in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management from an accredited institution.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCMP, CETa, IQCP, RMP) are preferred for candidates without a higher-education degree.

The Principal Project Scheduler will coordinate team activities and support Project Managers (PMs). With minimal supervision, the role involves scheduling and/or commodity tracking for major projects. Responsibilities include developing and analyzing complex schedules using the assigned system, maintaining schedules, collecting progress data, and providing accurate information to senior management. The candidate must interface with site execution teams, contractors, and senior management.

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Primavera (P6) scheduling experience, currently or recently used in past employment.
• Scheduling experience in utilities or construction management.
• Qualified experience includes utility-specific operations knowledge with a good understanding of work processes and procedures. Experience should cover design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, and/or construction.
• Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management.
• With a qualified Associate's degree, 4 years' qualified experience.
• With a qualified Bachelor's degree, 2 years' qualified experience required.
• A professional or trade certification (e.g., CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, RMP) is required for candidates with only a high school diploma or a non-qualified higher education degree. Otherwise, certification is preferred but not required.
