Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Manager, Project Manager to lead enterprise-level, cross-functional programs for the Connected Factory initiative at Cheshire, CT and Foley, AL. You will own scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder communications, building detailed plans in Microsoft Project and reporting to senior leadership.

This hybrid role requires travel up to 50% and coordination with Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, IT, and Quality to ensure operational readiness and successful implementation.

Qualifications

• University degree required; advanced degree preferred; 10+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship required; access to information restricted to U.S. citizens.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience in operations, engineering, or enterprise transformation.
• Experience with Microsoft Project for schedule development, resource planning, and critical path management.
• Experience reviewing cost‑savings analyses, developing business cases, and managing project budgets.
• Experience partnering with Manufacturing/Operations on process changes and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level or high-complexity projects across functions and manufacturing sites.
• Own project scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder communication.
• Build and manage detailed schedules using Microsoft Project with dependencies and critical path.
• Review cost-savings analyses and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Support site teams and ensure alignment with the transformation roadmap.
• Develop governance, milestones, KPIs, and resource plans; manage project intake processes.
• Lead issue resolution and cross-functional decision-making to keep deliverables on track.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing/Operations on readiness and changes; present updates to leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
