Job description

Malama Kai Technologies is seeking a Key Personnel Senior Project Officer to lead program and project management support for a Defense Intelligence Enterprise mission. In this role you will serve as the team lead and primary point of contact for daily task execution, plan and track high visibility taskings, and coordinate across DoD Combatant Commands and staff directorates. You will help synchronize key operational events and milestones, evaluate the effectiveness of planning actions against real-world events, and deliver decision-ready products to senior Government leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a team that delivers program and project management support to the Government customer and serves as the primary point of contact for daily task execution.
• Plan, schedule, and track tasks, milestones, deliverables, and risks, and report status to Government leadership.
• Support the planning and execution of key operational events and milestones across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.
• Coordinate across DoD Combatant Commands, staff directorates, and mission partners to align taskings and resolve issues.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, read-ahead materials, and decision products for senior Government stakeholders.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of planning actions against actual events and recommend adjustments.
• Manage team workload, deliverable quality, schedules, and mentor junior staff.
• Work high-visibility, mission-critical taskings independently and under Government direction.
• Oversee day-to-day program execution, ensuring contract deliverables, schedules, risks, and performance metrics are tracked and managed in accordance with DoD customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Government program offices, contracting personnel, technical leads, and mission stakeholders to align resources, priorities, and operational support activities.
• Develop and maintain program management documentation, including status reports, schedules, action item trackers, risk registers, briefings, and customer-facing updates.
• Monitor contract compliance, staffing, financial performance, and quality standards to ensure successful execution within scope, schedule, and budget.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least fifteen (15) or more years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description
• Six (6) years must pertain specifically to the labor category (e.g. a Program Manager must have six (6) years of experience managing complex programs), while the remaining experience must pertain to a related labor category (e.g. program analysis).
• Direct experience supporting the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community.
• Demonstrated familiarity with DoD Combatant Commands and standard staff functions.
• Ability to work independently on high-visibility, mission-critical taskings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions relative to actual events.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including experience briefing senior leaders.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Accounting, Finance, STEM or a related field
  • Six (6) years of additional work experience related to the labor may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Associate’s degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Active U.S. military duty/Intelligence Community experience

Security Clearance

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for that clearance level.

Citizenship

• US Citizenship required.

Travel

• Within the NCR as needed, less than 10%

Work Location and Environment

• This role is on site daily at a government facility located at Fort Washington, MD.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $185,000 to $210,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Actual pay depends on qualifications, experience, clearance level, contract requirements, and work location.
