Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) seeks a Project Monitor III to support the Energy Workforce Development program onsite in Washington, DC. The PM III will oversee awards, monitor deliverables, and ensure federal compliance across multiple energy workforce initiatives.

The role emphasizes end-to-end program implementation, from design and partner recruitment to curriculum, credentialing, enrollment, and outcomes measurement, coordinating across recipients of varying size and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 years may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
• Experience standing up a workforce development or training program end to end.
• DOE/DOJ or related federal workforce program experience preferred.
• Leadership in managing Federal financial assistance programs and grants.
• Residence in the Washington, D.C. area and ability to work onsite 2–3 days/week.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Energy Workforce Development awards, monitor progress, ensure compliance.
• Evaluate program designs for scalability and timeliness.
• Advise recipients on program launch sequencing and engagement.
• Assess enrollment, completion, credentialing, and placement outcomes.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review progress reports and performance data for consistency.
• Recommend actions on scope, schedule, budget, or award requirements.
• Track obligations and cost share against budgets and raise concerns.
• Serve as senior point of contact for complex recipient issues.
