Job summary

CLEAResult Energy Sustainability Services seeks a Project Monitor to support the DOE EECBG program, guiding local governments, states, and Tribes to improve energy efficiency and reduce fossil fuels. You’ll monitor grants through the full lifecycle, review plans, and ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes on-site and remote support, technical evaluations, and precise documentation while maintaining official DOE records and adhering to program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences, or related discipline; four years of relevant education/experience may substitute for a degree.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience; Master's may substitute for two years.
• Experience with the Federal Government, preferably with DOE.
• Experience with financial assistance documentation and financial tracking systems.
• Experience in documentation disciplines including technical writing and desktop publishing.
• Knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistics, and operational math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide project monitoring support across the full grant lifecycle, including application and plan review and post-award monitoring.
• Provide desktop and on-site monitoring support.
• Perform technical evaluations of recipient submissions and define corrective actions.
• Track milestones, budgets, and technical targets against recipient plans; alert on discrepancies.
• Review recipient performance and financial reports for compliance with statutes and terms.
• Support award closeout, including QA review of closeout documentation.
• Maintain official file documentation in DOE systems.
