Job summary

SpecSys seeks a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for mobile equipment, including structural, fluid power and powertrain systems. You will manage complex design projects, provide direction to engineers, and perform CAD work, analyses, BOMs, and manuals.

Requirements include 8+ years of project experience and a BS/MS in engineering; MBA or advanced degree is valued. Onsite in Minnesota with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Verifying design meets performance and configuration specs
• Contract management to keep on time and on budget
• Customer management to understand expectations and standards
• Providing work instructions for engineers and drafters
• Coordinating resources of project teams
• Developing and updating project timelines
• Providing project status to management
• Performing engineering calculations for design compliance
• Providing technical data to clients and internal teams
• Overseeing project analyses for qualitative integrity
• Directing preparation and presentation of progress reports
• Preparing project review booklets for customers
• Specifying materials and purchase components
• Developing design concepts for reviews
• Working with multiple CAD packages
• Reviewing CAD models for completeness and manufacturability
• Reviewing detail drawings for accuracy
