Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mobile equipment including structural, fluid power, and powertrain systems. You will perform CAD design, FEA analysis, BOM creation, and prepare user manuals while collaborating with manufacturing and project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a BS/MS in engineering, 1+ year of project experience, and strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mobile equipment and FEA or hydraulics.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in agriculture, mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering.
• 1+ years of proven project experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mobile equipment experience.
• FEA experience and/or hydraulics experience.
• Structural analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Own overall project responsibility including ensuring design meets performance specs.
• Contract management to complete on time and on budget.
• Customer management to understand expectations and standards.
• Provide work instructions for designers and drafters.
• Coordinate resources of project teams and develop timelines.
• Develop design concepts and perform calculations to verify requirements.
• Oversee FEA analyses and prepare reports for customers.
• Review CAD models and drawings for tolerances and manufacturability.
