thelabnyc is hiring a Senior Project Manager for Web & Ecommerce to lead Shopify-based projects, optimize site performance, and drive growth. You will coordinate with engineers, designers, and strategists to translate client goals into actionable plans.

Hybrid role in NYC with collaboration across disciplines, strong emphasis on communication, timelines, and budget management. Experience with Shopify Plus and e-commerce UX is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in web project management.
• Hands-on experience managing Shopify projects (Shopify Plus is a big plus).
• Familiarity with e-commerce flows, UX best practices, and web development processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills—you know when to elevate and when to dig in.
• Comfort working in various project management tools.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—you anticipate blockers and solve them before they become problems.

The Role

We’re looking for a Web & Ecom focused Senior Project Manager to support client engagements focused on ongoing website performance optimisation and feature enhancements. The ideal candidate would have experience with managing and optimising medium to large scale e-commerce websites in a client-facing setting. This role will work closely with a team of engineers, UX/UI designers, SEO analysts, copywriters, and data analysts to manage client requests and identify opportunities to increase conversion rates across site features and marketing programs. What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• 5-7 years of experience in web project management, preferably at a digital or creative agency
• Hands-on experience managing Shopify projects (Shopify Plus is a big plus)
• Familiarity with e-commerce flows, UX best practices, and web development processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills—you know when to elevate and when to dig in
• Comfort working in various project management tools
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—you anticipate blockers and solve them before they become problems
• A healthy respect for creative, strategic, and technical thinking—you know how to speak everyone's language

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless Shopify or third-party Shopify integrations
• Familiarity with platforms like Figma, Klaviyo, Gsuite, ticketing systems, and Project management tools
• Agency experience with multiple stakeholders or multi-brand portfolios
